Eleanor Roosevelt, seven weddings, and ... murder

What better way to lift community spirits during a time of war than to have a wedding, not just one but seven. That’s the premise of the story until the clerk who was meant to perform the wedding is found dead. While I agree with another reviewer who said that it’s not quite a four and that it’s more like a 3 1/2, it was very entertaining to see how the visit of Eleanor Roosevelt, wartime bride, and an overly organized cleric all fit together in this mystery. I was also happy to see the progression of the relationships of the sleuths. We see that Dorothy and family are thriving in their new home. We see Evie and Nigel embrace the relationship. I also Marvel at the story of how the individual sluice can go down a path, follow leads, and still all be pretty much on the same page.

Happy Reading!
