Fall
by: Tracy Clark
Detective Harriet Foster - Book 2
- Rating: (3/5)
Revenge, Betrayal, Penance ... how do you pick things up after taking the fall?
I really enjoyed the first book. This one was a very slow burn. I did something I never do and skipped several chapters. Sadly, I didn’t seem to miss much, I was able to continue without confusion.
I like how Vera (Li) doesn’t let Harri off the hook. She reenforces their work partnership and growing friendship. She is whip smart as well.
I did figure out who the perpetrator was early on but I didn’t know why. When it was revealed it was kinda so-so for me.
One or two of the side stories were interesting, especially the Vera-Harri and Old-School-New-School but others seemed to get lost (new revelations surrounding Harri’s former partner’s death). I haven’t looked at the plot summary for the next book, but guess it picks up there.
Not as good as the first book, but still a good read.
Happy Reading!
