Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone

The title drew me in....

I didn't know what to expect when I began this story. Of course murder but was it really true that EVERYONE is this family had killed someone? It seemed hard to believe. The story begins with Ernest Cunningham, Ern, being awoken in the middle of the night by his brother needing his help. You read enough mysteries or watch enough shows, you know what that means. This sets the stage for the remaining events.

Ern is headed to a family reunion which as is being described, sounds like something you'd rather avoid. Ern is going knowing as the family outcast for turning in his brother his reception will be rather frosty to say the least.

As this story unravels, we are told how each of the family members has killed someone. For a kicker, his brother is being released from jail and as you might expect things go awry. Surprising everyone, especially Ern, his brother has no ill will towards him and trust no one but him.

This story written in Australian dry humor, is a treat to read. If one could/should say that about a murderous family.

Happy Reading!

Plot Summary

Everyone in my family has killed someone. Some of us, the high achievers, have killed more than once. I'm not trying to be dramatic, but it is the truth. Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate.

I'm Ernest Cunningham. Call me Ern or Ernie. I wish I'd killed whoever decided our family reunion should be at a ski resort, but it's a little more complicated than that.

Have I killed someone? Yes. I have.

Who was it?
