Finlay O’Sullivan - Book 3

  • Rating: full starfull starfull starfull starstar outline (4/5)

Nine lives and counting, that is Finlay.

There was a lot to unpack in this story. It was a pleasure to have more background on some of the characters. Jack and Finlay are on the mend, not on the self-destruct path they were on/off of. Not only that but Finlay has started to live again.

A favor was called in and Jack ’s firm is representing someone they prefer not to. Finlay continues to search for the truth whether the client wants it or not.

There are a few scary moments for Finlay and those she loves. Surrounding all of this is the will she, won’t she run for DA that started at the end of the last story, The Nature of Secrets.

There are several moments that made me think, would I have done the same thing?

Many little truths clicked into place for me mere moments before they were explained. I still was amazed how this story was woven together.

Will there be another? Will Finlay run for DA? Basically, I wan’t another book. I want to know what happens next.

Tip: Make sure you don’t rush through the end. Sit, read and savor, maybe with your favorite take-out meal.

Happy Reading!

Plot Summary

From USA Today bestselling author Debra Webb comes another heart-pounding thriller featuring investigator Finley O’Sullivan, this time taking on a cold case that could uncover new dangers.

Legal investigator Finley O’Sullivan has dealt with her share of shady characters, but the firm’s latest client has an even darker past than most. In fact, Nashville Metro Police seems to think he’s a murderer.

Finley isn’t so sure. Her investigation into Ray Johnson’s history focuses on the unsolved murder of a teenager who died seventeen years earlier. The case went cold, but questions remain. Months after the girl’s death, people close to her started disappearing—her mother first, then Ray’s brother. But why?

As Finley races to solve a decades-old murder, she uncovers new clues and long-buried secrets that could blow the case wide open. But whoever killed the girl all those years ago may still be a threat—and now the chase is on.
